Andrea Lissoni , PhD, has been the curator at HangarBicocca, Milan, since 2011, and Curator of Film and International Art at the Tate Modern, London, since 2014. He taught at the Accademia di Brera from 2001 to 2013, and at the Università Bocconi from 2007. He is the co-founder of xing and co-director of the international Live Arts Week festival in Bologna. He is the editor of Cujo magazine and works with MOUSSE. He has co-curated a number of group shows, including 'Circular' (San Siro stadium, Milan, 2004), 'Collateral. Quando l'arte incontra il cinema' (HangarBicocca, Milan, and SESC Pompeia, São Paulo, 2007), 'Check-in Architecture' (Venice Biennale of Architecture, 2008), and 'Tudo è' (Pitti Immagine, Florence, 2011). At HangarBicocca, he has curated exhibitions featuring the works of Céleste Boursier Mougenot, Angela Ricci Lucchi&Yervant Gianikian, Wilfredo Prieto, Carsten Nicolai, Tomàs Saraceno, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Mike Kelley, Ragnar Kjartansson, and Micol Assaël.
Laura Barreca is an art historian and curator. She lives in Palermo. She is an adjunct lecturer in 'Media Phenomenology' at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Palermo. She was junior curator at the PAN-Palazzo delle Arti Napoli (2007-2009). In 2009 she won a post doctorate research grant to study at the Italian Academy for Advanced Studies, Columbia University, New York. She has curated exhibitions and worked on projects for a number of museums and foundations, including: Fondazione MAXXI; Riso, Museo d'Arte Contemporanea della Sicilia; Italian Cultural Institute of New York; Fondation Ariane de Rothschild. In 2012 she curated the Italian pavilion, with the exhibition 'Palermo felicissima', at the 9th Shanghai Biennale. She has held conferences on New Art Media conservation in Italy, the United States, Canada, Portugal, Belgium, and the Netherlands. She is the author of Arte e Tecnologia.
